How to Create a Fantastic Facial with Hemp-Derived Skincare Products

Did you know that your skin is your largest organ? That’s right – your skin is an organ just like your heart, lungs, and liver, and it’s so large that it covers your entire body.

Your skin performs many crucial bodily functions, acting as a barrier for your insides, an immune defense system, and a temperature regulator, amongst various other roles. As such an important factor in our health and well-being, it’s vital that we take care of our skin.

Proper skincare most often involves a skincare routine. Whether you’re new to skincare or you’re looking to revamp your pre-existing daily or weekly routine, we suggest implementing hemp-derived skincare products into your regimen with a CBD facial.

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a non-psychoactive compound derived from the legal hemp plant. It carries many health benefits, one being that it can help rejuvenate, replenish, and revive the look of your skin!

Read on to explore a fantastic facial routine made up entirely of hemp-derived CBD skin products!

Step One: Apply a face mask

Start your hemp-derived CBD facial by cleansing your face with your favorite facial soap or cleanser. Gently pat dry with a clean cloth, then prepare your face mask.

We suggest this luxurious Broad Spectrum Face Mask from Bee’s Knees Wellness. We especially love this face mask because it starts as a powder texture which you add water to in order to prep it before use. This is a huge benefit as the powder inhibits bacterial build-up you can find with other clay or gel-based face masks. Additionally, we love this hemp-based face mask because it includes plenty of hemp-derived CBD alongside a clean ingredients list, featuring botanicals like tepezcohuite, calendula, and dragon’s blood plant resin!

This face mask works by soothing redness, irritation, and inflammation while adding hydration and moisturization to prevent signs of aging. Plus, it clarifies your skin and detoxes your pores.

To prepare, add 1 teaspoon of dry, powdered face mask to a clean mixing bowl. Slowly add warm water and stir until your mixture resembles a thick paste. To upgrade your facial experience, you could also add a few drops of Bee’s Knees Wellness Full Spectrum Tincture, which will help soothe signs or redness or irritation, while adding a little boost of moisture to your skin.

Apply the mask to your face with clean fingers or a mask brush, being careful to avoid the eye or lip areas. Allow the mask to dry for up to 20 minutes, then rinse your face with warm water.

Step Two: Apply some serum

After applying any face mask, you should follow up with a good facial serum or moisturizer. This step is necessary to seal in moisture and boost your skin barrier function, so your skin doesn’t feel or look dry. Fun fact: both overly dry and overly oily skin can cause blemishes and breakouts, so having balanced moisture is important to keep your skin looking its best.

We recommend using this Full Spectrum Tincture as a facial serum because it delivers a concentrated dose of Full Spectrum CBD infused in medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) coconut oil. As a facial serum, this tincture soothes and nourishes the skin while supplying the skin with the antioxidant, antibacterial benefits of CBD.

This tincture can be applied directly to the face and then gently massaged or patted into the skin; or, you can blend one dropper full into your daily facial moisturizer and apply to your skin as you normally do.

Step Three: Take care of your under-eyes

Under-eye care is often an overlooked and underrated aspect of skincare. This is unfortunate considering the under-eye area consists of some of the thinnest and most delicate skin on your body. It is also one of the first places that your skin starts to show signs of aging.

Taking care of your under-eyes largely involves intense (but gentle!) hydration. The goal is to eliminate dryness by locking in a good moisture barrier. By doing this, you can combat water loss, irritation, dark circles, and even wrinkles like crow’s feet.

Once you’ve applied your moisturizing hemp-derived serum and/or moisturizer, take some time to treat your under-eyes by applying this Broad Spectrum Everyday Skin Repair Stick from Bee’s Knees Wellness. We love this handy CBD stick because it’s ultra-nourishing, softening, and conditioning with moisturizers like olive oil, almond oil, and shea butter, plus it soothes skin with calming lavender, vitamin E, and calendula!

Softly glide the skin repair stick under your under-eye area in upward motions toward your temples two to three times, gently tap the product in using your ring finger until it’s fully absorbed. We can’t emphasize the word ‘gentle’ enough – use the gentlest touch when handling your under-eyes!

Step Four: Finish with some lip care

Last, but certainly not least, take care of your lips! Lip care isn’t isolated to the cold, winter months when chapped, cracking lips are at their worst – it’s essential to keep your lips in good condition year-round.

Because cracked lips can act as a gateway for infection, proper lip care should be emphasized throughout the day every day. That being said, locking in a little extra hydration as you finish your favorite facial routine is a must.

We love this Broad Spectrum Honey Lip Goo from Bee’s Knees Wellness because it goes above and beyond your average lip balm. Packed with hemp-derived CBD, honey, and moisturizing oils, you can kiss dry, chapped lips goodbye!

Apply this lip goo by simply swiping the stick across your lips. For a little extra moisture, rub in the first layer, then slather on a second for long-lasting hydration.

Facials are more than a relaxing treat – they’re a necessary part of your skincare routine. When you add clean, natural ingredients and sustainable, hemp-derived CBD to the mix, you may find that your skin looks and feels better than ever.

Who knew that CBD could be so much fun? We hope that you enjoy this fantastic facial routine just as much as we do!
